The Pitch: Italian one-man, post-black, atmospheric band located near Piacenza "with a special taste for acoustic instruments by the likes of Opeth and Falls of Rauros."

What I Like: This album is very moody and has that wandering-through-a-grey-snowy-forest vibe.  Another spiritual successor to old albums from Ulver, Drudkh, and even Burzum to an extent.  Bonus perks for the occasional ripping solos that seem to come out of nowhere and the production on the drums.

What I Don't Like: Some people really get down with just turning stuff like this on and letting it take them away.  Personally, I just find the style too repetetive to spend much time with.  So depending on where you land on that spectrum will probably determine your own personal Enjoyability rating.

The Verdict: While my personal tastes keep me from seeing Gazing Light Eternity as something with a lot of replay value, I think fans of this style will really enjoy it morose beauty along with the excellent performances on the guitar, drums, and keys.
