"Cryptivore was first conceived in 2015 by Chris Anning with the idea of writing short, precise, and catchy death metal/grindcore songs with an old-school vibe, drawing influences from the early days of Carcass, Dismember and Benediction. Chris, currently living in the northern suburbs of Brisbane, Australia, had already been in numerous metal, grind, and punk bands since 1995. Handling all instruments and vocals, this allowed Chris to create freely without any outside influences. The natural end results were compiled into the Unseen Divinity demo, which saw a digital and CDr self-release in late November 2017 which was then re-released on cassette via Blood Harvest Records in early 2018. Chris is currently finishing the full length Cryptivore album to be released by Transcending Obscurity in late 2019."
