So "blackened thrash" is a bit of a simplification when it comes to Edmonton, Alberta's Tyrant. While there are certainly some Skeletonwitch-y elements to their new EP, The Existential Reversal, there's also a hefty dose of groove metal a la Lamb of God. Put those two bands together and predictably you can expect some seriously riff-driven carnage. Listen to this 3 song self-release below and try not to bang your head. I dare you.
