I love the 90's for many reasons, its music being just one of them. In particular, if you happen to enjoy this era's straightforward take on hardcore, you should give a listen to Great Reversals. Influenced by the likes of Trial, Integrity, Bane, and Buried Alive, this Michigan band recently released their new record Stalactite as a one-sided LP via Ugly & Proud Records in Europe and Dropping Bombs in the U.S. The album was recorded with Andy Nelson (Jesus Piece, Axis, Harm's Way) and mastered by Brad Boatright (Nails, Drug Church, Tragedy). Some moments in your face ("The Rattlesnake King"), others more moody and conceptual ("Stalactite"), Great Reversals has plenty to offer the scene with its diverse approach and throwback aesthetic.
