Malthusian is among the finest metal acts that Ireland has to offer. Following in the footsteps of other technical, atmospheric, blackened death metal acts such as Portal and Abyssal, their sound is dark, decrepit, and mean. We've covered them in the past, praising their astounding 3 song demo debut and intriguing EP follow-up. But it seems the band is back on September 7th with Across Deaths. Sticking to their less-is-more mentality, the album is only 5 tracks, though that still marks it as their longest release yet. The first of track, "Remnant Fauna," is already streaming below.
